13 Reasons To Love The Graco Metrolite Stroller

Submitted by on Saturday, February 14, 20092 Comments

graco-metrolite-stroller-systemWe’ve had our Graco Metrolite Stroller for over four years and I still love it.  As my son is getting older, I’ve tried an umbrella-type stroller, but it felt too small and flimsy.  I’ve also tried using a smaller stroller, but was very disappointed in the durability.  We are frequent travelers and prefer to bring our Metrolite on every trip.  I’m very particular on what I need in a stroller, as are most moms.  My friend Kimberlee went through 7 strollers before finding her favorite.  We have the Delancy print version, and it still looks great after 4 years of daily use.

Here are the features I love about traveling with this stroller:

-Lightweight and folds flat enough for the parking tram at Disney

-Stands on its own when folded (handy at airport gate check)

-Durable to withstand airport and rental car abuse

-Strong and large enough to act as our luggage carrier

-Padded seat is very comfortable, lays flat for naps

-Snack tray and cup holder for both child and driver

-VERY roomy underbasket; holds jackets, diaper bag, and shopping bags

-Window in shade cover to check on baby, large shade cover

-Sturdy rubber wheels give smoother ride than plastic

-Full travel system, no need for accessories = save money

-Large enough to row with child; it’s the only stroller we use form birth to 4 yrs old

            -Adjustable handlebar for mom/dad driver

-Baby carrier is very cozy and easy to carry; extra carseat base available.

I highly recommend the Graco Metrolite Travel System.  What’s your favorite stroller and why?  How long (what age) did your child use a stroller?
