Loose Park Sprayground (52nd & Wornall area, west side of Loose Park, behind the tennis courts).

It’s not big, but it’s lots of fun, with tables in a smallish shelter and lots of fountains and water cannons.

Mount Vernon – Kiwanis Spray Park, 18th & Broadway at Kiwanis Park.
Interactive spray park with frog water cannons, random jets, misters and fountains. Free. Picnic shelter, playground, baseball field and basketball hoops also.

Aug 10?! Hopefully they get out in May. Our kids in MN don’t start till just after Labor Day, and even that feels like summer’s too short! Although, maybe it’s good to have them inside in air conditioning!!

We have a small park like that near us (metro Atlanta) and it hasn't been used as much as usual this summer because it's been much, MUCH cooler than usual. In the last week or so it's gotten pretty hot, though, and it's perfect "splash" time. But alas, our kids went back to school yesterday, August 10.
