On October 11, all scarecrows will be assembled out on the resort’s great lawn to attend the annual “Scarecrow Wedding,” a fun and entertaining ceremony for resort guests and locals to enjoy. A bride and groom scarecrow are specially created for the occasion by Nonantum staffers, and the celebration includes an apple cider toast for all.
Following the wedding, all scarecrows will be judged by Nonantum staff and prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners, based on creativity and originality. The grand prize winner will receive a three-night stay, the runner up will receive a two-night stay and the third place winner will receive a one night stay. All prize packages include a dining credit at 95 Ocean. Photos of the scarecrows will be posted to Nonantum’s Facebook page throughout the season. Prize winners will be posted on October 11.
