Katrina Brown Hunt of WeJustGotBack.com shares eleven of her favorite Thanksgiving getaways on Frommers.com.  She says, “Thinking of skipping the big turkey dinner with the in-laws and running away on vacation?”  And actually, we are!   (not to avoid the in-laws, just to be somewhere warm)  We booked our trip before reading her wonderful post, and so we are headed to the JW Marriott in Scottsdale, Arizona.   The clincher for me?  A lazy river.  I think floating along on a lazy river is exactly the peaceful calm that I need before the chaos that is the holidays.    Read Katrina’s post for 11 more awesome family vacations and let someone else do the cooking this year.
