I also wrote a review on Lowry Park Zoo for Examiner.com not long ago, here’s a snippet of that article:
Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is a fantastic place to take the kids on any day of the week. There’s lots to see and do there, with plenty of photo opportunities, and memories to be made. I went with the kids and the grandkids and had a wonderful time. But, just a suggestion, either eat before you go, or bring snacks in your purse for the kids because the food is not only expensive, but awful. Though, the ice cream was good I’d recommend eating lunch before entering the park, and bringing a few snacks along, and then, while inside stop for ice cream. At least they got that right– but who screws up ice cream?
