AllAboutBaja.com has some amazing fun family activities listed on their site! I found this little snippet which I found most amazing:
Whale watching is ever popular in almost all of the tourist destinations on the peninsula, even as far north as Bahia de Los Angeles, on the Sea of Cortez. Whale watching takes on a whole new meaning when the magnificent Gray Whales make their annual pilgrimage to their birthing grounds in the lagoons on the Pacific side of Baja. From January until the middle of April these huge creatures put on a display of friendship toward humans that can only be described as extraordinary. It is one thing to get in a boat and ride along with the migrating whales. It is another story completely, to get into a small panga and feel them rubbing the bottom of the boat. Both mother and claves will often come out of the water and let you pet them, even kiss them. It is something everyone should experience, at least once in their lifetime. Many people can not begin to imagine that they would ever be able to see a giant whale up this close, let alone kiss one.
Could you imagine? When the gray whales arrive in Baja to have their babies, it is a magical time. Up to nine species of whales visit Baja on a regular basis. Whale watching is by far one of the most popular activities in Baja, and I can see why. See more pics and info here and also at LosCabosguide here.
As for the amazingly beautiful beaches there, check out our Best Los Cabos Mexico Family Resorts: The Short List. post as this has a great write up all about the Baja beaches.
And if your family is looking for some history and a bit of adventure, a must -do in Baja is to visit the cave paintings. The cave paintings of Sierra de San Francisco may be Baja’s greatest treasure. Read more about them at allaboutBaja.com.
I sincerely hope you and your family have a chance to check out Los Cabos Baja Mexico, as it will be a family vacation that will stay in your memories long after you leave.
