Nickelodeon Universe® in Mall of America® goes
pitch black for Halloween extravaganza
Guests are invited to experience Nickelodeon Universe® at Mall of America® in a whole new way during the 2011 BLACKOUT Halloween event the last two Friday and Saturday’s in October. Watch as the park is transformed with unlit rides, black lighting and fog effects all while guests jam to tunes by DJ Glo. Other festivities include make your own black light t-shirt, a bubble dance party, make your own spooky goo and glow in the dark airbrush tattoos.
Guests who think they are donning the silliest, most original and best glow in the dark costumes can take part in the Halloween costume contests at 6, 6:30 and 7 p.m. for a chance to win spooktacular prizes. BLACKOUT will also feature several Nickelodeon character appearances including Spongebob and Patrick, Dora & Diego and the Backyardigans. The Nickelodeon Scream Collector from the commercials will make a special appearance from 7 – 9 p.m. The night will also include several random flash mob breakouts between 8 and 10 p.m. where guests will be entertained by a group of dancers performing to popular beats.
The first 1000 ride ticket purchases made after 5 p.m. receive a free treat bag when purchasing the ride tickets in any Nickelodeon Universe retail store or Guest Service station.
