Even though Las Vegas is known as ‘Sin City’, it is a surprisingly popular family vacation spot. They’ve done a lot to appeal to families and some of the new additions are very cool! Here are five of our favorite family activities in Las Vegas:
Gondola Ride at the Venetian: Outside in St. Mark’s Square, there are gondola rides through a lovely canal just like in it’s namesake of Venice, Italy. Inside, there are cool floral displays, an air-conditioned indoor mall with cobblestone streets. The area is filled with tons of little details that will keep your most expert I-Spy-er busy.
Discovery Children’s Museum: The new location’s three floors of fun house over 100 hands-on exhibits that delight locals and tourists alike. Children’s museums are always a great place to let kids explore their natural curiosity in a safe environment. We try to seek one out in every city.
Chuck Jones Experience: Perfect for Looney Tunes fans of all ages! Watch cartoons, make cartoons, and create sound effects and voice overs for Chuck’s cartoons. Located inside the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino – which is also filled with other kid-friendly options like, you guessed it: a circus!
Roller Coaster at New York – New York: This roller coaster is great for ages 10 and up, spiraling all around this end of the Strip. Inside New York- New York casino is a trip too, although it doesn’t really look much like NYC at all in my opinion. There are, however, lots of kid-friendly restaurants here and other seasonal attractions.
Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage: See live big cats and dolphins in this hidden oasis run by Siegfried and Roy. Rare and beautiful white tigers with crystal blue eyes can be seen in only a few places, and this is one of the best. Although the dolphins don’t put on shows, their natural playfulness is fun to see.
