I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek last night of the Camp Ice Age exhibit at Mall of America, and we had a blast!    It is an all-ages exhibit, but I would say it would be most appreciated by kids ages 2-12.   My 8 year-old enjoyed the carnival section, but the beginning section was almost a little too young for him… but perfect for toddlers.  I would have loved to have seen a few more activities for older kids, but we really enjoyed what was there.  And meeting Sid the Sloth was a real highlight!!

Admission is $12 for kids ages 4-14 and $5 for adults.  The exhibit is located on Level 4, East Side.  Inside, kids can play ‘drums’ on ‘skulls’, or climb and slide inside Captain Gull’s ice pirate ship, Pop-a-Possum (an Ice Age twist to the favorite Whack-a-mole game), watch Scrat movie shorts, get a photo with Sid the Sloth (there are also Sid and Diego statues that make great photo-ops, too), and of course, shop for favorite Ice Age gear!!

We are huge Ice Age fans and plan to be visiting this exhibit many times before it leaves on October 13, 2013!  Check it out and tell us what you think!
