Inspiring golfing stars of the future, Four Seasons set to coach little pros at its world-class Indian Ocean golfing facilities.
The Kids’ Golf Academy is specifically designed for children aged 5 – 16 and offers a choice of a one or three day course, each of which is tailored to either improve young players’ skills, introduce them to the game, or perfect their techniques, so they can follow in the footsteps of the Resort’s championship winning course designer, Ernie Els.
Welcomed by a professional coach, children attending the Kids’ Golf Academy are first escorted to the Pro Shop, where they will be kitted out with a golfing polo shirt, cap and gloves, to make sure they truly look the part. Their professional coach will then introduce them to all of the facilities, including a buggy tour of the oceanfront golf course, an overview of the Golf Academy and the chance to meet the oldest residents at Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita, the two Giant Aladabra Tortoises at the green of the 9th hole, Gromomo and Ticolo.
Following lunch in Le Club restaurant that overlooks the stunning 18th hole, children will partake in a two hour lesson with individual coaching from their professional instructor, the chance to try out the video swing analysis software and time to practice at the driving range and putting greens. Those opting for the three day course, will continue with two further days of instruction, with the potential for them to play on one or two holes of the Ernie Els course.
Children completing the Kids’ Golf Academy can share their achievements with their family the next morning, when their professional instructor will present their certificate and a DVD of their video swing analysis at breakfast.
The Kids’ Golf Academy at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita is available to between one and four children per session, at a cost of EUR 475.00 + VAT per child for the one day course and EUR 755.00 + VAT per child for the three day course. Prices include all golfing instruction, use of the facilities, a golfing polo shirt, cap and gloves, and lunch at Le Club restaurant. Reservations are subject to availability.
